I just returned from Phoenix, where I attended the American Association of Sexuality Counselors, Educators & Therapists (AASECT) conference. In the exhibit hall, we got to see some of the latest new sex toys available. I want to tell you about a few that grabbed my attention.
By far the most intriguing, was the We-Vibe. This is a U-shaped vibrator that is worn while you make love with your husband! What a concept! One end of the U goes inside you to stimulate your G-Spot, and the other part of the U curves around to reach your clitoris outside. So you can have the enjoyment of intercourse, plus clitoral, plus G-Spot stimultion all at once!
While this may sound too good to be true, it was awarded the “Toy of the Year” by Sue Johanson of Talk Sex, as well as the “Most Innovative Product” by Venus Berlin. I can see why – it sounds very creative to me. You can purchase it through www.we-vibe.com. Now I know some of you may worry that if you buy a sex toy online, you will be deluged with porn pop-ups, or mortified when it comes in the mail. Most manufacturers take care to be very discreet, using initials instead of their company name, etc. I have not found it to be true that you will get porn pop-up ads if you order a sex toy. If you access porn online, yes, you will get those pop-ups, but this is different.
Another new addition to the sex toy world is by Trojan condoms, who are marketing a couple of toys, which will be sold in grocery stores, or even Wal-Mart. That is ideal for those of you who would rather die than enter a Condoms To Go store.
The first product is a Her Pleasure vibrating ring, which is worn around the man’s penis while you make love. The vibrating part will then stimulate your clitoris as you have intercourse. Since the vast majority of women (70-75%) do not experience orgasm with intercourse alone, this toy can give you the best of both worlds. Their other product is a mini-vibrator, about an inch long which is worn on your finger as a ring. You can use this one solo, or either of you can wear it while you are having intercourse.
